What size is Proslat?
Each box comes with 10 wall panels covering an 8-foot L by 4-foot H section or 32 total square feet (each panel measures 5 ¾-inch H x 8-foot L; because panels interlock, the exposed or finished size is 4 ¾-inch H x 8-foot L). Proslat also offers a wide range of accessories that allow you to easily organize your space.

Yes, it’s easy to cut Proslat panels. Because each slat is fastened to a stud, there is no loss of structural integrity. You may, however, require extra trims as what is supplied in the box is sufficient only when installed as 8′ wide x 4′ high.

Can you paint Proslat?
We do not recommend painting our slatwall, but we have had customers who have painted their Proslat PVC slatwall panels with reasonable results, using spray paints intended for plastics. Do not use latex paint.
Are husky and Proslat compatible?
Sadly, they do not fit the Husky product. These hooks are sturdy and strong so if you have the Proslat Wall System, you’re good with these. Luckily, HD has great return policy.

If you are keen to paint slatwall panels, the key is to roughen and degloss the finish on the surface so that it can better absorb paint and to use the right paint or coating product. So the short answer is yes, you can paint slatwall.
Can you stain slatwall?
I started by lining up several slats on their side. I used a paint brush to apply stain to the two cut sides first. The brush did a much better job of getting stain in all of the cracks than a rag. Once the sides were stained, I applied a light coat of stain to the front surfaces using a rag.
