DEXATROL is indicated for infections of the external ear canal caused by susceptible organisms; mastoidectomy cavity infections or chronic suppurative otitis media. Children and Adults (including the Elderly): Ophthalmic Use: Apply 1-2 drops to each affected eye up to 6 times daily or, more frequently if required.

How do you use Dexatobrin?
Dexatobrin Ophthalmic Suspension: One or two drops instilled into the conjunctival sac(s) every four to six hours. During the initial 24 to 48 hours, the dosage may be increased to one or two drops every two (2) hours. Frequency should be decreased gradually as warranted by improvement in clinical signs.
How long can you use Tobradex ointment?
Do not use it later for another infection unless your doctor tells you to. If you are using this medication for more than 10 days, laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., eye exams) should be performed from time to time to monitor your progress or check for side effects.

To apply the eye drops: Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Hold the dropper above the eye and squeeze a drop into this pocket. Close your eyes for 1 or 2 minutes. Wait at least 10 minutes before using any other eye drops your doctor has prescribed.
