Muscovy ducks are ready for butchering at around 3 to 4 months and will dress at around 4 to 6 pounds. If you let them grow a little older the males might dress out ever heavier.
Are Muscovy ducks edible?
Muscovy Duck is the only domesticated duck that isn’t descended from Mallard ducks. When young, these ducks are considered very good eating, with lean, tender meat, with a taste more like veal than other duck. They have larger breasts than Common Ducks. Usually just the breast meat is sold, which is quite lean.

Do muscovies lay eggs?
Muscovy will lay up to 180 eggs a year and hatch about four sets of ducklings if they get lots of high protein feed. Muscovy ducks are great mothers and do a good job raising their young. Muscovy take longer to hatch than other poultry… an egg takes 33 to 35 days to hatch.
