How do I plug in my sleep number bed?
- Download the SleepIQ® app if you haven’t already.
- Open the SleepIQ app and log in.
- Tap Profile.
- Tap the account settings icon in the top right corner.
- Under My Sleep Number® Beds, tap the bed you are setting up.
- Tap Need to get your bed online?
- Tap New bed parts and follow the guided steps for pairing your bed.

Can you break a sleep number bed?
Disassemble the Sleep Number Base If you have a FlexFit adjustable base, remove the mattress retainers by loosening the hex head bolts using a 7/16-inch socket. If you have an Eastern King, California King, Split King or FlexTop King bed, separate the two individual adjustable bases.

Caps are usually stored inside the mattress or inside the base with the pump. If you can’t find the caps that came with your bed order them online.
Does a sleep number bed deflate when unplugged?
Yes, plug in to inflate and leave plugged in if you want the bed to automatically adjust firmness to the selected level. If you don’t want to use this feature, you can unplug the bed after it is inflated and plug in only when you want to top off (add air) or deflate.

Will my bed deflate if there is a power surge or power loss during the night? No. Your mattress will maintain its firmness, even if power is interrupted. But to help protect your Firmness Control™ System from power surges resulting from thunderstorms or power outages, we recommend using a surge protector.
