Dragon kill points or DKP are a semi-formal score-keeping system (loot system) used by guilds in massively multiplayer online games. Players in these games are faced with large scale challenges, or raids, which may only be surmounted through the concerted effort of dozens of players at a time.

To get into the Lair, you have to be attuned. This means there are steps you must do which allow you to enter the raid. Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Onyxia’s Lair, and Upper Blackrock Spire have attunements. Everyone in your raid must be attuned, so get used to running the attunement process repeatedly.
How do you earn DKP?
DKP is only earned when players spend DKP. For example, Druid A wants a staff that drops and pays 25 DKP for it. Everyone in the raid, including Druid A, now gains 1 DKP; 25 DKP was spent, and there are 25 raiders with the total DKP being divided equally among all raid members.
