What level should you be for Darkroot basin?
It really doesn’t matter, the entire game can be completed at soul level 1. You can be soul level 100 and still die to a hollow.
Do you have to go to Darkroot garden?
A trek into Darkroot Garden is not necessary to advance the story at this point, but it does provide a great spot to level up and tackle a boss before heading into the far more deadly Depths. With the Titanite Demon barely vanquished behind you, run forward through the archway to emerge into a forested area.
Where do I go after lower Undead Burg?
Once you use the Basement Key and climb down the ladder from the bridge (close to Solaire), you can run up the nearby stairs to unlock the shortcut to the (upper) Undead Burg bonfire. At the other end of the Lower Undead Burg, you can find and follow the aqueduct that will lead you back to Firelink Shrine.

The Crest of Artorias is a key in Dark Souls. This crest opens a door in the Darkroot Garden sealed by ancient magic. The door leads to the grave of Sir Artorias the Abysswalker. Many adventurers have left for the grave,but none have returned, for they make easy prey for local bandits.
What level should I be for seath?
Recommended Level: 55-60 Seath himself is not a boss that requires a high Soul Level to defeat as most of the fight is spent dodging rather than recovering from hits.
Is there a boss in Darkroot basin?
There is no official boss in the area, but there are still a couple of tough enemies to defeat in the Hydra and Golden Crystal Golem.

Rumors. It was originally believed that Sif could be spared and allowed to limp away during the last segment of the fight. This is not true and the only way to progress in the game is to kill Sif; it is not an optional boss. Your dealings with Sif have no impact on the Forest Hunter covenant.
How do you get to Blighttown from Undead Parish?
This path can be taken only after killing the Taurus Demon. From Blacksmith Andre in Undead Parish, head down the stairs and into Darkroot Garden. Take the first path on your right and follow it downwards, to the very bottom of Darkroot Basin. You should notice small cave in the cliff side, guarded by a Black Knight.
