I’ve done time in the lounge dozens of times in recent years, and it’s been pretty grim: cramped space full of chairs that were too big and electrical outlets that were too few.
Is there an Amtrak lounge at Penn Station?
Even Traveler ‘s most avid Amtrak users didn’t know there was a premium waiting space in New York City’s Penn Station, and given the state of it, that’s probably not surprising. In the dark ClubAcela lounge, near tracks 7 and 8, you’ll find several dated blue chairs, a few bags of chips, a soda machine, and a coffee maker.
What to expect at the Acela in New York?
Very cramped, dark and devoid of any accoutrements you would expect from a lounge defines the New York Club Acela. Whether it really even qualifies as a lounge is a debatable question. Food includes the occasional bagged potato chips and a soda foundation.
Is there an Acela Lounge in Lufthansa terminal?
Acela Lounges can’t compare to the Lufthansa First Class Terminal or any other airline lounge, but they beat the heck out of sitting on a hard plastic bench in the station. This is just a place to wait with Pepsi and crackers. The escort to the car is nice as well.
