The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) was signed into law on July 22, 2014. WIOA replaced WIA in the 113th Congress after passing the Senate on June 25, 2014, by a vote of 95-3 and the House on July 9, 2014, by a vote of 415-6, and being signed into law on July 22, 2014. Most of its provisions went into effect on July 1, 2015.
