Is ascentis a Recognised qualification?
Ascentis is a national qualification-awarding body based in Lancaster in the North West of England. A full list of Ascentis’s QCA approved qualifications can be found on the official list of approved qualifications, i.e. the National Database of Accredited Qualifications (NDAQ).
What is ascentis 1?
The Ascentis Award, Certificate and Diploma in Personal Progress at Entry Level 1 are designed for learners operating at the earliest communication levels. They give learners recognition for their learning and promote and support progression over time.
Do universities accept access courses?
A lot of universities do accept the ACHE as a formal qualification and are happy to consider students with them as well, however, many universities do not consider the ACHE as a high enough level of qualification to merit a place on their course.

Do you have to be 19 to do an access course?
Entry requirements These are set by the college. You must be 19 or over on 1 September in the academic year the course starts.

UCAS points obtained through an Access to HE Diploma range from 48-144, depending on your grades.
Can you go to uni with 2 A-levels?
If you are trying to go for a course which has a high entry requirement of UCAS points, you will either need to get 2 A levels with distinctions to have a proper chance, or get all 3 A levels done. It all depends on your chosen course for uni etc.

How long does it take for Ascentis certificate to be issued?
All centres are given access to QuartzWeb, however if you need help or guidance please email [email protected]. Ascentis will normally process results and issue certificates within 4 weeks of the verification date, with the exception of Short Online Qualifications and Access to HE provision.
