How do you take Relafen?
Use the lowest dose that is effective in treating your condition. You may take Relafen with or without food. If you use this medicine long-term, you may need frequent medical tests. Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
How is nabumetone administered?
Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis: The recommended starting dose is 1,000 mg taken as a single dose with or without food. Some patients may obtain more symptomatic relief from 1,500 mg to 2,000 mg per day. RELAFEN (nabumetone) can be given in either a single or twice-daily dose.
Can Relafen be crushed?
General. You can take this drug with or without food. However, taking it with food may help decrease nausea. The tablet is film coated and should not be cut, crushed, or chewed.
Is Relafen stronger than ibuprofen?
After 12 weeks of treatment, researchers found that nabumetone was similar in effectiveness to ibuprofen and other NSAIDs when treating osteoarthritis. However, the study found that nabumetone was more effective than the other NSAIDs for rheumatoid arthritis.
Does Relafen make you sleep?

Is it safe to take Relafen after aspirin?
RELAFEN (nabumetone) is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nabumetone or its excipients. RELAFEN (nabumetone) should not be given to patients who have experienced asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.
