What is Nexus pioneer?
Back in September, Pioneer launched it’s Nexus version of the CDJ 2000. It utilizes Pioneer’s PRO DJ LINK system in order to connect DJ mixers, CDJs, and other audio devices with little hassle and helps the machines cooperate… as well as the now-Pioneer-standard Rekordbox application for managing your music.
How do you set up a DJM 900?
Then set the DJM-900 to use the USB inputs on the top of the mixer, setup the DJM-900 Utility properly with the USB Outputs and ensure you Traktor settings are correct. I personally like using Audacity to record with, and I would only recommend using the USB cable from the DJM-900 to your computer to record digitally. Hope this helps. 😉
Can a Traktor be used with a DJM 900?
To use with Traktor, you will need the audio cables connected from the CDJ’s to the DJM-900, and USB cables connected from the CDJ’s to your computer. Then set the DJM-900 to use the USB inputs on the top of the mixer, setup the DJM-900 Utility properly with the USB Outputs and ensure you Traktor settings are correct.
How to use Pro DJ Link on Nexus?
1x usb from nexus back to the pc/laptop. 1x usb for X1. Link CDJ’s, DJM & Computer via a ethernet hub if you wish to use Pro DJ Link to either send tracks direct to CDJ’s or DJM to cue in headphones. Decide which channels on the nexus you want to use solely for the cdj’s (I have mine on channels 2 and 3), but use what ever works for you.
