What material are snake racks made of?
What are these racks made out of? The racks sold at Reptile Basics are constructed with 1/2″” expanded PVC plastic. This material has a lot of very nice features. It is easy to work with, machine and screw together.

Really does depend on the snake. If they use them, leave them otherwise take them out. Mostly though it seems that in a rack, the tub IS a hide. It’s really dark all the way in the back.

How do you heat up a snake rack?
Set up your heat tape to evenly heat all of the bins in your snake rack. Fill the bins with the appropriate substrate – a thin layer is perfectly fine, there is no reason to overfill the bin. Add two hide boxes to each of the bins – place one on the heated side of the bin and one on the cooler side.
