What kind of oil does my Club Car golf cart use?
The gasoline engine on the Club Car golf carts hold between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 quarts of 10W-30 engine oil. The oil filter for the Club Car golf cart can be found at major retail hardware stores or at a Club Car golf cart dealership/parts place.
How much oil does a Kawasaki FE290 take?
Owners’ manual for my ’03 DS/FE290 says the engine oil capacity is 38 ozs (with filter change) but the “Sticky” for Bi-Yearly Maintenance says 1.6 qts + pre-oiling the filter! This would amount to over 50 ozs, way more than the 38 ozs. Why would the sticky recommend so much more oil?
Who makes fe290 engine?
In 1992, it was replaced by a Kawasaki 286 cc FE290 9 horsepower engine, which was more powerful and efficient. In 1997, Club Car sourced new transaxles which required clockwise input….Kawasaki FE 290.

Is 5W30 the same as 10W30?
Both oils have lower viscosity at temperatures which measure the resistance of the oil to flow. However, 5w30 is much thinner compared to 10w30. 5w30 engine oils will, therefore, be able to protect the inner components of the engine faster than the 10w30 due to its low viscosity.
What happens if I put 10w40 instead of 10W30?
You can see that 10W40 is more viscous than 10W30, at these temperatures. The basic fact that “40” is greater than “30” tells you that. If you were to put 10W40 in an engine designed for 10W30, the “thicker” oil would lead to friction in the engine and an increased load on the oil pump.
Why does my club car backfire?
A golf can backfire due to the throttle plate inside the carburetor being open, or a incorrect throttle cable adjustment.
