Our Maidstone HWRC is open, you will need to book a slot before visiting. The consultation on the future use of the booking system has now closed.
What can’t you take to the tip?
Unfortunately, any items that you would usually pay to have disposed of will not be accepted – including tyres, gas bottles, soil & hardcore, vehicle parts, commercial waste, plasterboard and Asbestos.
Is Tovil tip open during lockdown?
Friday 14th May 2021. THE Tovil tip is set to open up with more slots available to the public and no restrictions on frequency of visits – but booking is still required.
Can I take a can to the tip?
Yes, and you’ll need to view your local authority’s waste and recycling information for the specifics. In general, you won’t be able to take prohibited items (such as asbestos, petrol or car parts).
Can I take fridge to tip?
Can I throw away an old fridge? Due to the hazardous elements contained within a fridge, it must be disposed of responsibly. Therefore, you cannot leave it on the pavement, hoping for the scrap man to take away and you may also struggle taking it to your local tip as not all tips accept them.
Can I take black bags to the tip?
Can I bring my general dustbin/black bag waste to the recycling centre? As long as the waste being carried in the vehicle is from your own house and not waste from a business or waste that could be associated with the business vehicle then this is acceptable.
Do I need to book at Tovil tip?
Customers must only attend the site within their booking slot, if you miss your slot, you may not be permitted to use the site. All materials usually accepted at your local HWRC will be accepted.
What can I take to the tip Stockport?

Is there a rubbish tip in Malling Malling?
The centre will serve Tonbridge and Malling residents and it is hoped it will take pressure off Medway’s Cuxton tip. The news comes as residents face a new charge when disposing items not considered ‘household waste’.
Why is Medway Council banning people from using their tips?
Amid fears the new charges would increase pressure on nearby tips, Medway council announced it would ban people from Kent using their tips. They warned people using their centres would have to show ID to prove they are local but the council has since U-turned on that decision.
