Does anyone take second hand books?
Bring your boxes of used books to your local Goodwill, Salvation Army or other local charity. To find a local charity center in your area, visit www.charitycenters.com. Make some envelopes. This is a great idea for those books that have missing or torn pages so they can’t be donated.
Do St Vinnies take books?
Vinnies welcomes the donation of quality books – fiction, non-fiction, childrens – if you’ve read it and the quality is good, we’ll happily accept it. Donating Do’s: Put your books in a bag or box and bring them in to your local Vinnies store OR a Vinnies charity bin.

Please note we are unable to accept ex-library books, and damaged or dirty books. For donations of eight to 25 boxes of books, we offer a free collection service throughout greater Melbourne. To book your collection please call 1300 DONATE (1300 366 283). For small donations please drop your books in to one of our community stores.
