Can you use Insulfrog points on DCC?
Yes, when using DCC Insulfrogs are best avoided (Peco in particular), but where there is no choice just fit them and wire them as you would electrofrog with insulated joiners on the two frog rails, and then optionally paint the frog with conductive paint. Voila!
What is a Peco Unifrog point?
Summary: The PECO UNIFROG is a new turnout design from PECO. Out of the package it will behave like the PECO Insulfrog turnout. PECO plans to replace their Electrofrog and Insulfrog products with the new Unifrog over time. Doing this allows PECO to eliminate two products and replace them with one.
Are PECO Insulfrog points DCC friendly?
The PECO Insulfrog is a power routing turnout. The term Power Routing indicates that only the route selected by the switch rails has power. This is accomplished by controlling power to the point rails. Out of the package it is 100% DCC Compatible.
What is the difference between Electrofrog and Insulfrog?
The electrical power routing of the Peco Electrofrog is different than that of the PECO Insulfrog. The Electrofrog is a well designed turnout. There is no plastic for wheels to run on. The Insulfrog may have an all plastic (non-conducting) frog, or a metal one with gaps.

What does a PECO Electrofrog wiring diagram show?
Peco Electrofrog Wiring Diagram – wiring diagram is a simplified customary pictorial representation of an electrical circuit. It shows the components of the circuit as simplified shapes, and the faculty and signal friends amongst the devices.
What kind of switch does PECO turnout motor use?
Should this electrical problem occur, the wiring on the underside of turnouts in most cases should be modified (see Figure 7 below) utilising a Peco Turnout Motor (PL-l0) and Accessory Switch (PL-13 or PL-1S). To use the Single and Double Slips extra switches are required.
Can a PL-10 be attached to a turnout motor?
Attaches directly to the PL-10 family of Turnout Motors with contact adhesive. This single pole switch can control frog polarity, ground signals etc. PL-31 Spade Connectors can be used to attach wires to these units without the need for soldering.
How many tracks does a Peco track system have?
PECO currently produces no less than 20 track ranges, featuring both standard gauge and narrow gauge systems, plus a wide selection of complementary accessories and items to add scenic detail to your layout.
