Make the tissue covering less porous by using an acrylic spray paint, paint or dope. Giving the model 2 coats of clear acrylic spray works great without adding much weight to the model. Note: Clear acrylic spray or dope will also help eliminate the sagging in tissue covering.
How do you cover MonoKote over MonoKote?
Monokote over monokote sealed with trim solvent becomes one piece and works very well… HOWEVER…if your top colour is a darker color than your bottom colour it will shrink at a slower rate than the lighter colour so you have to be careful with a heat gun when shrinking the covering.
