What is imidocarb used for?
Imidocarb dipropionate (brand name Imizol®) is a drug used to treat infections caused by protozoa (single-celled organisms that sometimes cause disease).

The mode of action of imidocarb is uncertain though two mechanisms have been proposed: interference with the production and/or utilisation of polyamines, or prevention of entry of inositol into the erythrocyte containing the parasite.
