How large are the Red Corsairs?
The Red Corsairs are stated to be “near legion size”. The smallest legion was the Thousand Sons, with 10,000, so “near legion” would be in the ballpark of around 8-9000 troopers.
Are Red Corsairs good?
The Red Corsairs make up for the lost of VotLW by having a very strong legion trait, a decent relic, a good stratagem, and a solid special character. There’s a lot of reason to like them and use them despite the reduced emphasis on filling out extra detachments as a way to gain CP.
