How do you cut pink batts?
To open, cut along the length of the bale. Use a sharp utility knife to cut pieces to fit around obstructions and between smaller spaces. Cut on a flat wooden surface, using a straight edge to guide the knife. Pink® Batts® insulation should always be cut slightly oversize to ensure a friction fit.
How much does it cost to install pink batts?

How do pink batts work?
The glasswool fibres create millions of tiny air pockets which trap the air. The air pockets make glasswool a poor conductor of heat, an important requirement of effective insulation segments.
How do you keep pink insulation from falling down?
Use metal installation hangars or nylon straps to keep your insulation from falling down. You can buy these at your local hardware store, big-box store, or make them with your own wire. Just make sure the wire is galvanized with pointed ends to get them to stay in between the joists.
How far apart should insulation supports be?
When installing batts or rolls of insulation below a floor or in a ceiling above, using insulation supports is a good idea. The standard suggestion is 36 inches apart. The wire supports should be fastened across the batt of insulation and tightly attached to the support beams.
Where do you put pink batts in ceiling?
Pink® Batts® bales should be lifted into the ceiling through the access panel. If possible lift the full bale through before opening. Installation should be started at the furthest point away from the access panel. Installation in all areas of the ceiling should reach to the top plates of exterior walls.

How big does a pink batts wall insulation need to be?
Pink® Batts® wall insulation is designed to be friction fitted between studs with 600mm centres. They measure 1140 x 580mm. If you have 400mm centre studs, each piece must be cut to fit the space. All the space in exterior walls should be insulated between the top and bottom plates.
Can a pink Batt be used around a fixture?
Pink® insulation batts have been independently tested and passed the requirements of AS3999-Appendix B. Do not use small pieces of batts to form part of the barrier around a fixture as these pieces could dislodge and cover the fixture potentially overheating/faulting the device.
