When was Leptoceratops discovered?
1910
The first small ceratopsian named Leptoceratops was discovered in 1910 by Barnum Brown in the Red Deer Valley in Alberta, Canada. He described it four years later. The first specimen had a part of its skull missing, but there were later well-preserved finds by C. M. Sternberg in 1947, including one complete fossil.

What does a Leptoceratops look like?
Leptoceratops had a very large head for its body size, and this skull often survives as a fossil. Leptoceratops also had a beaklike snout and a smallish neck frill. It did not sport the dramatic horns and large neck frills that are common in its more advanced and better-known relatives, such as Triceratops.
When did the ceratopsians live?

Which ceratopsian has the most horns?
dinosaur Kosmoceratops richardsoni

What dinosaurs had 500 teeth?

Although the usual exceptions and qualifications apply, especially among early members of the breed, paleontologists broadly define ceratopsians as herbivorous, four-legged, elephant-like dinosaurs whose enormous heads sported elaborate horns and frills.
Why did ceratopsians have frills?
The ceratopsian frill provided protection for the neck, normally one of the most vulnerable parts of the body to be targeted by predators. Horns on the nose and brow were undoubtedly dangerous weapons when thrust into action by an angry ceratopsian.
