A tripel is a Belgian style of beer. Our take on the style is golden, balanced, and has a wide array of yeast-derived aromas. Usually clocking in at a higher (for beer) alcohol content, you’ll often find tripels in the 8%-10% ABV range. That balance of aromas is key to almost all Belgian styles of beer.

Is Allagash White like Blue Moon?

For those less familiar, Curieux was our first barrel-aged beer, and remains our most popular. The beer begins as Tripel, a Belgian-style golden ale. After brewing, we age it for seven weeks in bourbon barrels. After aging, the beer is blended back with a small portion of fresh Tripel.

Is Tripel beer Hoppy?

Though there is a range, singels tend to be golden to light amber in color and around 5% ABV or less. They also tend to be rather “hoppy” with fruity and spicy notes from fermentation with classic Belgian yeasts.

How do you drink Tripel?

Tripels are best warmed to at least 50 degrees. Never serve one fresh out of the fridge. They are very complex and serving them cold dulls your ability to taste all the goodness. Ironically, Tripels are lighter in color than Dubbels, from pale gold to pale amber, measuring in at 4.5-7 SRM.
