How do self bailing rafts work?
Self-bailing rafts, as their name implies, bail the water out automatically. This is accomplished by having an inflatable bottom of around 4-5” thick. Draining holes are located along the top of the floor where the floor attaches to the boat’s perimeter – this floor is known as a self-bailing floor.
