What can I bring to Hume Lake Christian Camp?
What to bring: Bible, notebook, pencil, flashlight, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, (including towel) warm and cool clothes, jacket, modest one-piece swimsuit (no Tankinis) and beach towel. The camp recommends about $50 for spending money.

Are there showers at Hume Lake?
Most of the 54 campsites at Hume Lake Campground are available for RVs, trailers, and tents. Two dozen sites dispersed throughout the campground are designated tent-only. Three sites are double campsites….Hume Lake Campground.

Is there cell reception at Hume Lake?
There is no cell phone service, so tell your boss not to call you when you’re there. However, they had wireless at the camp, so if you HAD to answer e-mails, you could do that. We took a nice walk around the lake (about 3 miles), and it was absolutely beautiful. Make sure you bring your camera!
Is Hume Lake safe to swim in?
Hume Lake is located in the Sequoia/Kings Canyon area. The lake is good for fishing and swimming. You can also take out kayaks or paddle boats- there is no jet skiing or anything like that. There are also dirt trails for riding bikes around the lake.
Is Hume Lake clean?
The high altitude of the lake keeps the water cool; you won’t find a more refreshing place to take a dip on a hot summer day. The water is clean and clear.

Can you rent kayaks at Hume Lake?
Hume Lake offers plentiful recreation activities. Along with nearby camping, visitors to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks can find rentals for row boats, kayaks, paddleboards, canoes and bicycles. This is a great spot for picnicking along the shores of the lake.
