They will be great to wear on my many winter hiking adventures – but are also comfortable to wear indoors in warmer temperatures (they feel like slippers!!!) I can honestly say that my Steger Mukluks are one of (if not, THE) best sets of footwear I have ever purchased. I would recommend to anyone without hesitation!

Are Steger Mukluks waterproof?

There are a few things that Steger Mukluks are not great for such as wearing in warmer temperatures or wearing in wet or sloppy conditions. The Mukluks are not waterproof so if you are wearing them out in sloppy conditions, it will take a while to get to your foot, but they will be wet.

How warm are Steger Mukluks?

They are also very warm, I got the added wool insert and my feet have never been cold in these boots. They take a little time to stretch out so I’d recommend buying them and wearing them around the house or out doing errands before you need them for a long day out in the snow.
