Do Rubbermaid stock tanks have a lifetime warranty?
Rubbermaid manufactures durable, high quality merchandise. We warrant that when professionally installed, our wire, melamine and garage storage systems, including installation hardware, are free of defects in materials or workmanship for the life of the product.
Should I flex seal my stock tank pool?
DO NOT USE FLEX SEAL. It immediately chipped on the inside. We left it for the remainder of the summer last year and it was constantly peeling off and getting stuck in the pool pump. Determined to never sand a stock tank pool again, we did a ton of research.
How do you stop a galvanized stock tank from leaking?
- Drain the tank below the level of the leak.
- Drill the leaking hole to make it smooth and regular. Use a drill bit at least 3/8-inch in diameter.
- Insert a boiler repair plug into the hole.
- Tighten the nut on the boiler repair plug until the rubber washer is tightly seated, sealing the leak.
Can you patch a stock tank?
A simple round hole would be fairly easy to fix. Rubber washers bolted on each side of the hole make a quick repair. In desperation, poking a rag-wrapped stick through does the trick. In the good old days, the split bottom seam could have been taken care of by dumping ashes in the bottom of the tank.
