Penguins make use of the new “Play off the top of the deck” to play a lot of extra minions, although with very little control over which minion you’ll get. To play a minion off the top of the deck, you reveal cards from the top of your deck until you find a minion, which you’ll play.

Robots/Plants are my favorite faction combo. First turn: The Homeworld is on the field. At that point, if you’ve got the right cards (and I did) You can play Microbots, Zapbots, and Venus Man-Traps to cycle through your hand and deck.
What’s the best combination for zombies in Smash Up?
Zombies play well with any other faction especially ones with powerful minions like Dinos and the Russian Bears. If you want to really frustrate your opponent play Plants/Aliens.
