AGE. Drivers ages 6 through 12 may compete in the Junior Sprint Class. A driver whose 13th. birthday falls during the racing season will be allowed to finish the season in which they. began accruing points before their birthday.
How fast do jr sprint cars go?
Drag Racing League competitors race are called Jr. Dragsters and are half-scale versions of Top Fuel dragsters. Using a five-horsepower, single-cylinder engine, a Jr. Dragster can go as fast as 85 mph and as quick as 7.90 seconds in an eighth-mile, though younger competitors are restricted to slower times/speeds.
How old do you have to be to drive a micro sprint?
Drivers must be a minimum of 9 years old and a maximum age of 16 on Jan 1 of the current season year. Officials reserve the right to allow drivers under 9 to compete if they have had prior experience in micros, Jr Sprints, karts, etc. and prove the ability to manage the car and drive safely in hot laps or practice.

Sprint Kart, Sprint Dirt Kart, Sprint Go-Kart, Outlaw Sprint Kart, Winged Spring Kart, Caged Winged Sprint Kart, etc.. etc..) is a dirt kart with a full body cage and wing designed for oval racing.
Why do sprint cars have to be push started?
Sprint cars do not utilize a transmission but have an in-or-out gearbox and quick-change rear differentials for occasional gearing changes. As a result, they do not have electric starters (or even electrical systems other than a ignition magneto) and require a push to be started.
How old do you need to be to race late models?
You must be at least 18 years old to drive the cars. Younger drivers (14 and up) must be at least 60 inches tall and must be accompanied to the track by a parent. All drivers must sign a liability release waiver on the day of the event to participate.
