Win a Wintergrasp battleground match. You must have participated in the battle to be credited for the victory. Quest can only be auto completed while within the Battle for Wintergrasp. Commander Zanneth might be satisfied with a pile of Horde corpses at his feet, but controlling Wintergrasp is of the utmost importance to the Valiance Expedition.
Can You pilot a siege engine in Wintergrasp?
The way it used to work (last time I ran Wintergrasp), the ‘rank up’ procedure was in place to allow you to pilot a siege engine. The problem with trying to fly about while doing so is, when you move far enough out of the combat zone to do so, you lose whatever progress you made ranking up, and have to start over.
