Dudley residents have been banned from using a tip after a finance row broke out between councils. It means people living in Dudley now only have access to one tip in the borough – the household waste recycling centre in Stourbridge – with residents in the Coseley area facing a 30-minute drive to dispose of rubbish.

Shaw Road tips (Household Waste Recycling Centres) is provided for the use of Wolverhampton residents and their domestic waste only. Anchor lane tip (HWRC) can be used by both Wolverhampton and Dudley Residents.
When do tips open on Shaw Road Wolverhampton?

The Tips (household waste and recycling centres) at Anchor Lane and Shaw Road will open an hour later due to a staff information morning. Both sites will be open from 9am – 4pm rather than 8am – 4pm.
Do you need a permit to go to Wolverhampton?
Entry to our sites must be pre-booked. Vehicles will not be permitted on site without a valid permit as well as two forms of ID (one photographic and a recent household bill). This service is not available to residents outside of Wolverhampton and is not for commercial waste activities or trade waste.
