How long does it take to study for CEBS?
Earning a CEBS certification takes approximately three years. Students can complete the course at their own pace, but the IFEBP occasionally changes the certification requirements. Past classes may not count toward future certifications.

Q – Will my CEBS designation expire or be revoked? A – There is no revocation or expiration policy for non-compliance. It is intended to recognize and reward ongoing continuing education activities.
How long does it take to study for GBA 1?
Most candidates average 50-75 hours of study time per course. Course materials include a Study Manual, Required Textbook, and Practice Exams on CD-Rom. You can take as many courses as needed, and courses can be taken in any order. There are no requirements to complete a designation.

Do you have to pass All CEBs exams?
A thorough understanding can be obtained only by careful review of the Study Guide and textbook for each course. A successful score on the Practice Exam should not be construed as a guarantee of successful performance in the actual exam. To qualify for the CEBS designation, you must pass all five examinations.
When do the new CEBS books come out?
Both of these courses are being extensively revised and new Study Guides and textbooks are required reading for purposes of the CEBS program and the national exam. These materials will be available beginning October 2021. The updates will be reflected in exams administered on and after January 15, 2022.
