Can brushless motors get wet?
The truth is brushless motors are water resistant however they are not really waterproof. Water is never pure in a lake or puddle or even rain. Small particles will find there way in to the bearings on a brushless motor delivered right from the water itself. Over time this is what can destroy the bearings.
Do brushed motors need to be broken in?
Brushed motors are not maintenance free. Brushed motor parts wear, but the good news is they are serviceable! Our motors don’t really require a break-in before use, but you can run them on low voltage (4-6V) for a minute or two both directions to seat the brushes.

The axle nuts go straight in the trash. The 12mm hexes are 10mm wide which leaves minimal thread engagement, so throw those away. Bearing fitment is poor in most locations especially in the steering knuckles, so lots of slop there.
