How does MYLAPS transponder work?
MYLAPS transponders enable you to give each vehicle a unique identification. The transponder is fixed on the vehicle with a transponder holder that is secured with bolts, screws, or zip ties. When passing over the detection loop, the transponder sends its signal to the loop.
How do I check my MYLAPS transponder?
You can login to your personal MYLAPS account on account.mylaps.com and login with your e-mail address and password. In your account you go to and you see an overview of your transponders. Red your subscription has expired, you have to renew. The transponder will not work.
Why is MYLAPS transponder flashing red?
When charging the battery of your FLEX transponder, the LED on the transponder should be flashing red slowly (once per second). If the transponder is flashing red quickly (5 times per second), the subscription has expired. When the LED of the transponder is flashing green, this means the battery is full.
How long does a MyLaps transponder take to charge?

It takes 5 hours to fully charge the TR2 transponder. When the transponder is in the cradle, the LED will be steady green. When the transponder is not in the cradle, the LED will blink green.

Where are the bibtag detection mats located on MYLAPS?
Detection mats are placed at the start, finish and split timing locations. The mats serve as the system’s antennas and detect the signals sent out by the BibTags. We offer modular mats that allow you to create timing locations between 1 and 8 meters wide per system.
